Fundraising
Cary Homeschoolers has no membership dues, and we do no formal fundraising activities. However, the following methods are available should you wish to help fund CHS. The money is used toward organization-wide expenses, such as paying for Fall Kickoff, the domain names for the website and rental space for all-member gatherings, as needed. If you are a member, you can see a more detailed fundraising page on the members section of the site.

Amazon Associates Program
Do you shop at Amazon.com? Simply click this link and then do your regular shopping. At checkout, Amazon will donate a percentage of your purchase to us at no extra cost to you.
Boxtops for Education
Our boxtops coordinator is listed on the internal fundraising page.
You can find "boxtops" to clip on participating Kimberly Clark, General Mills, and SC Johnson products. Most are worth 10¢, but some can be worth as much as $1.00. You submit them to our boxtop coordinator, who counts and bundles them to be sent to General Mills. This is done twice a year, and 45 days after the submission, the boxtop program issues Cary Homeschoolers a check for the amount we submitted. So the more we submit, the more we earn for our bank account. We earned over $100 in 2006. You can also buy things online, through their marketplace, and CHS will earn a certain percentage of what you spend. Details can be found at http://www.boxtops4education.com

Creative ways to collect Boxtops - grandparents, neighbors, or if you have your own business or a spouse/friend/relative has a friendly workplace you could set out a collection box.

Food Lion
There is an account set up for CHS with the Food Lion MVP program. Please register your MVP cards with the "Lion Shop and Share" program at http://www.foodlion.com to help raise money for our organization.
Each time you shop and use your MVP card, a portion of the total groceries purchased will be donated to the group.
Harris Teeter
CHS now has an account number for the Harris Teeter Together In Education program. By linking the CHS account number to your VIC card, we will earn 2% of Private Label purchases.
Our account number is 6395. During check-out, just give the number to the cashier, and your card will be linked to the CHS account for the remainder of the school year. You will need to re-link each August.
